1. Driver Eligibility
The primary renter and any authorized additional drivers must be at least 25 years of age and hold a valid, non-probationary driver's license held for a minimum of two (2) years. International renters must produce a valid passport and, if required, an International Driving Permit (IDP).
2. Security Deposits & Payments
A standard security hold is required on a major Credit Card prior to vehicle dispatch. This hold secures against potential damages, traffic violations, or late returns. Deposits vary by vehicle classification and form of insurance elected. The cardholder must be present at vehicle drop-off.
3. Vehicle Condition & Return
All SIMAIE vehicles are delivered fully detailed and fueled. Vehicles must be returned at the designated time, location, and condition. Excessive interior fouling, sand, or strong odors (including smoke/vape residue) will result in a professional detailing penalty subtracted directly from the security deposit.
4. Insurance & Liability
Drivers assume total liability for the vehicle during the rental period unless Comprehensive Coverage is explicitly purchased and outlined in the rental agreement. Standard limits do not cover undercarriage, roof damages, or lost keyfobs.
5. Cancellations
We understand travel plans change. Bookings canceled at least 72 hours before the scheduled pickup will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 72 hours are subject to a 1-day rental penalty.
